BioHey, it's Fern. The person, not the plant. I go to high school in SoCal, but this is the fourth city in the world I've had to call home. Next school year, I'll be a Comp. Lit and Society (je pense) major at Columbia University in the City of New York. I like to be challenged, and yearn to be inspired. I like to steer my dreams by concentrating on anything beautifully personal before I go to sleep. I'll admit that I sing in the shower. I'm reading Frankenstein right now and I can't believe how amazingly human it is. I listen to Juanes. and The Flaming Lips. and Ray Charles. and Rilo Kiley. and The Postal Service. and Shakira. and Clem Snide. and Brendan Benson. I worship Garcia Marquez short stories. and stand-up comedy. and cookie dough chip haagen dazs. and Mexican cinema. I only like dancing with the lights off. I do, however, sing and dance in broad daylight when I'm driving. I expect too much from people. I want to give you a really great hug. I've hiked the Andes and the Himalayas. I play with my hair. I've been to every continent except for that random cold one. I bite my nails. a lot. I wish my room didn't have a ceiling so I could stare at the stars all night long. I'm always cold. I'm on an eternal quest to find a four leaf clover. I sparkle, it's a [fountain] diet coke thing. I don't get what the huge deal about Death Cab for Cutie is. I write well. whenever I can. I'm an idealist. and an optimist (I don't know how that happened...). and an intellectual. if you spend more than 17 minutes with me, you can tell. If not, then I'm certain that after that amount of time in a bowling alley with me, you'll be sure I'm a terrible bowler. I know what the "legal midget" height is, and yes, I'm taller. I would fire any individual who is currently employed to write the script for award shows. I think I'm a good photographer but I'm probably not. For no reason, I have an enormous amount of Maverick spirit. I think Seth Cohen is perfectly flawed. I could have a shot at winning The Apprentice. Give me a chocolate milkshake, any time, any day, and you'll make me happy. This blurb only sounds depressing because right now I'm listening to Bright Eyes, but if I could, I would use exclamation points after everything. I could live inside a museum, or at least stay there overnight, like in that one book I read when I was little. I almost died when I saw The Birth of Venus and Leonardo DaVinci's Immaculate Conception. I wish I could be an art history major person. I believe in people. but I'll lose a tad bit of respect for anyone who can't spell or chews with their mouth open. Leave me on the Amalfi Coast with my books, my music, and some comfortable shoes, and I'll never leave. I took an IQ test in a Scientology Center in LA once, but it was a tad bit sketch, so I'm sure the results were too high. I've gone through life perfectly fine, however, by believing in them. I make my own trends, even if I'm the only one that follows them. I lose everything. I know Hamlet was not insane. I adore boys in pink ties. You can always find me in room900. I can fall asleep anywhere. If I ever have a band, I'm going to name it Salas in the Background. or Assumed Infancy because my brother came up with that one. If you want one my ideas just tell me because I will never have a band. I talk about how I hate people but I really don't. I wish all my friends could come to college with me. I inexplicably quote mean girls every day, it's like word vomit. See? It's hard for me not to smile. I speak shoddy french and I think existentialism is lame. I love tickling people. Basically, I love. and never stop thinking. or learning. Think of me in any way you wish; it's not enough. I will surprise you.
